Camp Keating, located in a valley surrounded by mountains, was one of them. While shooting by the Taliban was common, they tried to earn the respect of the local village elders and help them stop the fighting. One day, when 400 Taliban gathered for a surprise attack, they had to take advantage of poor defense and the lack of ammunition and manpower they had to survive and return to their loved ones.
