Set in the near future, the shop follows Teresa (Brbara Colen), who comes to the home of Bacurau, a village in a successful Brazilian factory, to attend her grandmother’s funeral. Upon arrival, Teresa immediately saw signs that Bacurau was in critical condition. Basic services were lacking, telephone service was cut off, the water supply was cut off, and water trucks arrived loaded with bullet holes. It soon became clear that the corrupt government had completely abandoned the village: Not only had Bacurau been completely destroyed on the map, but its citizens had also been attacked. As close accountability, the villagers had to organize organized resistance to avoid major damage.
